The Free Pattern is written holding 2 strands of fingering weight yarn together, but it can also be made with 1 strand of machine washable worsted weight yarn (1 skein in each of 5 colours), such as:
- Cascade Avalon (cotton & synthetic)
- Berroco Vintage (wool & synthetic)
- Cascade 220 Superwash (100% Peruvian wool)
- Berroco Maya (pima cotton & alpaca - 2 skeins of each of 5 colours)
