Twinkle's Big City Knits
Twinkle's Big City Knits, by Wenlan Chia ~ $39.95
Mmmm-mmmm-good! Finally, my Twinkle book has arrived! I've been waiting for this all year and I'm not disappointed! I've been following Wenlan Chia's clothing lable "Twinkle" for several years. Vogue Knitting has been following her too, but they never publish patterns for the really hot designs from the runway .. boo! well, cry no longer, all the good stuff's in here! all the sweaters i've beens talking form runway shows are here! and it's great! great pictures! great designs! i bet if i licked it it would taste like ice cream.

No Sheep for You
No Sheep for You ~ $28.95
Another quality product from Interweave press at an affordable price! It's a great book for people who can't wear woollies and the rest of us too. There's lost of useful info about the idiosyncracies of non-woolly textiles, general tips embroidered throughout the book and of course a bunch of very friendly patterns for men and women. My faves are the jackets & coats, a lace shawl by Amy Singer, a classic little cabled cardi by Brooke Snow (i know whay ou are thinking, it's a little staid, but it NEVER goes out of style, I wear them forever and never regret putting all that work into it!), a fair isle cardi by Zoe Valette and a hemp purse. One caveat ... there is one "what were you thinking?!" pattern, so when you get to it either visualize your happy place or if you're creative pretend it's in a nice, soft solid colour ... sometimes good ideas go bad ;-)
Lace Style
Lace Style ~ $31.95
Oh, Oh, Oh! Another GREAT one from Interweave! Pretty pretty pretty lace sweaters, tanks, shrugs, socks, cuffs, gloves, a hats, a skirt, legwarmers, a cowl, a bracelet, a dress and of course a shawl! It seems like more than 21 patterns and there are several tanks just in time for your pre-summer knitting. It's a Must-Have.

Studioloo
Whoops! I got these in over the holidays and lost the posting in my festive slacking. I must have been unconsciously hoarding them. Well , lesson learned, you gotta come in to stay current!
These Lurvlies are hand spun, very special, very unique skeins of yarn from Studioloo. Prices range from between $40 to $50 each. Fortunately we'll be getting more in, unfortunately the following are long gone:
- green eggs & ham
- eggs & bacon
- marbles (mine! all mine!)
- pink flowers
- posies (can you see it int the pictures? it was purty!)
favorite socks
A very cleverly crafted book, it is a hard cover with a spiral binding for long term heavy use. Clever Interweavers! If you love those lovely, cosy textured socks from Interweave this is the book you MUST have. After you see this book you're going to want to retire early to spend the rest of your days making & wearing these socks. There's even a pair of knee socks I'm eyeing. ;-)
