What's Up Doc?

what's new?

spring yarns are trickling in. some more adult colours have arrived in Crystal Palace Cotton Chenille so you can get down to work on the choker from Stitch 'n Bitch Nation. The chenille arrived with the Crystal Palace Deco Ribbon (very soft, me likey) and a couple of colours in the Crystal Palace Waikkiki. 2 more colours have arrived in the Merino Frappe for that pretty little capelet from SNB2.

The Spring issue of Family Circle Easy Knitting has arrived even before their website has been updated! It has lots of prety patterns and a couple for toddlers from the yarn girls in NYC that are sure to please.

Lots of basic cottons and cotton blends have arrived from Needful Yarns, as have their pattern books which i'm selling at bargain basement prices so you can afford to knit. Needful says their shipment just came in from Italy (think lots & lots of huge boxes everywhere) and they'll be shipping the Special spring & summer yarns soon.

Unfortunately, we've sold out of the small Matt & Nat wallets that were featured in NOW magazine, but they've been re-ordered in male & female friendly styles & colours and are on their way.

We had to find the right person to make it happen, but Private Classes will soon resume. Think of a one on one tutorial with a gentle instructor, tucked away in a cozy corner of the shop, sipping tea amid a garden of yarn. Dates & times TBA, by appointment only.

everyone wants one for spring, even my mom, so i'll be trying out the patterns with some of Needful's Fabulous Italian Yarns:

Filtes King Van Dyck - a simple, classic look

Lana Gatto Madeira - variagated, hand dyed look

Filtes King Knotty - a bit of bling & a blast of colour
