New Opal Sock yarn
I dig lizards, 'cause reptiles, just like birds are little tiny dinosaurs.
here is an update from Opal Sock yarns regarding their rainforest yarns:
“To all of you who have supported our project, thank you for your donations. Yesterday I transferred all the donations to the organization “Save The Rainforest” in Hamburg, Germany. A total sum of $15,003.97 Euros was collected in a rather short time frame.
We plan to resume our action “Save The Rainforest” in the New Year 2006. We are planning to unveil a new Rain Forest Collection with 8 different animals in the coming year. From all of the donations collected we can all be proud to realize that 22,500 m2 of Rainforest will be saved.
Again, thank you for your donations.
Cordially,
Wolfgang Zwerger

swatch
sorry i forgot to post a pic of this ... its the swatch that Lily Chin made in, like, 3 seconds while she was demonstrating her skill with the hook - she's the world's fastest crocheter! her hands are a BLUR when she crochets, it's soooo cool! some people around here are a little green with envy, but it's just downright neato-mosquito, an exceptional talent.
her suggestions for faster hooking: lube up your hook (not if you're using bamboo or birch, Chin usese Aluminum) with a bit of moistureizer. She also credits the development of her skills to a little childhood sibling rivalry.

Cashmere
Cashmere is beautiful, it's a pricey gift from the cashmere goat so i like to keep things classic with an emphasis on colours & textures that will never lose their presence. I'm particular about quality too: I dislike synthetic fillers in Cashmere and I prefer that the Yarns are milled in Italy, not asia.
