Closed: Sunday & Monday July 1 & 2.

Happy Canada Day long weekend!  Should you happen to be be feeling patriotic, we've found a few pattern that will get a canuck revved up!  We've also pulled out the all the red, white, ecru & beige yarns we've suggested, so you can pop in and grab 'em on your way out of town (or in town)!

• 6mm needles
• Bulky weight yarn 

• Berroco Vintage Chunky 6154 Crimson & 6101 Mochi (a slightly more subdued combo)
• Berroco Vintage Chunky 61181 Ruby & 6100 Snow Day (a more traditional combo)
• Malabrigo Chunky 63 Natural & 157 Amoroso (or 44 Geranio if you're old fashioned)
• Malabrigo Chunky 36 Pearl & 23 Pagoda (for a retro/modified look)
• Berroco Weekend Chunky (cotton) 6947 Blood Orange & 6904 Pebble (or 6902 Vanilla )

Maple Leaf Mitts

• Knit flat and seamed up the side

For fun, try reversing the colours (make white dominant), or substitute a beige for the white for a more vintage look.

Yarn Swap July 21st

Next Yarn Swap: July 21st

The next Knit-O-Matic Yarn Swap will be held on Saturday July 21st, from 1 to 4 pm. 

Bring the stuff you don't need, want, or are never going to use, including but not exclusive to yarn, needles, hooks, patterns, books & magazines. Take anything you like from the stuff donated by other people. ALL of the leftover go to charity (Streetknit, Silver Circle West Toronto Services for Seniors) and all kinds of donations are welcome (especially the squeakiest of synthetic yarns).  

Attendance is at Yarn Swap is FREE, just drop by! And bring your knitting and stay with us for a  Stitch 'n Bitch!

You can also drop off hand knit or crochet donations for Streetknit and we will pass them along. They make and then donate hand knit/crochet outerwear and blankets to Toronto's street people. Hats, scarves, mitts, socks, and squares are all welcome. 

If you can't attend, but you still want to donate your old knit & crochet materials, you can drop it off at the store in a sealed plastic bag, anytime we are open:

Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri, Sat: 11am to 6pm

Wed:  11am to 8pm

Sun:   Closed
